Adding some photo's - my family

Lets Begin Blogging!

OK, so I like to talk about myself and my family, so why not put it all out there!!! Boy, you can really take a chance doing this, but it might be fun. I'm doing this so I can send my blog address to my relatives and friends that I don't get to talk to much so they can keep up with me and my family! So............here goes, my first blog!

It's 2005, yesterday was my 46th birthday (although I typically don't admit to my age, I still say I'm 39). I had jury duty yesterday in Oakland County, it did't go bad. I was in the first group to be called - about 24 of us were called down to the courtroom and they needed 12 for a jury. They called the first 12 and replaced maybe 3 or 4 of them, but I was never called, so back to the "room" where you wait - it was already almost 11:00. Shortly after that when I was starting to think about lunch, they came in and said we were done for the day! So, I picked up some lunch and came home and worked from home until about 5:00.

We went out to dinner for my birthday - it was me, Matt, Linda & Andrew, Susan and Lindsay. I can't believe how long we had to wait on a Tuesday night! But at least I didn't have to cook.

Matt who is my youngest child, only son, is 13 years old now and in 8th grade. He is a hockey player but has decided to add on football this year............so he has practice every day after school from 3:00-5:00 - games will be on Wednesdays at 4:00 - there will only be 6 games total and it will all be over at the end of October! I just worry that he may get hurt and then there goes the hockey season!!!! Let's just hope it goes well. After football season he wants to do after school basketball, can't say the kid has any time to get into trouble! School and sports is all he has time for!

Lisa is my oldes daughter and is 24 years old now. She is working full time in the Forestry department for the city of Oak Park. She just moved out inter her apartment in Royal Oak. It is a very cute little place - she is not quite settled in yet! She tried to get a house but things just didn't work out for one reason or another. She is planning to take a couple days off and drive out west to Colorado to visit some freinds that she used to work with out there. I hate when she travels so far on her own, but she loves it.

Linda is my second oldest and is 22 years old. She has 2 Associates degrees from Schoolcraft college, and had always planned to go to Vet Tech School at Wayne State - she was accepted this year and had all intentions to go.......but the last 3 years she held a summer job with the city of Novi in the water department and there was an opening - she interview for that position as a water meter reader and got the job!!! So, she has give up (for now) Vet Tech school!! She also loves animals, especially horses.....she did horseback riding for years but now she is volunteering her time at Horses Haven so she is still working around animals!

Susan is daughter #3 and is 20 years old. She is taking college classes and works full time for the Michigan Humane Society. She is currently thinking of getting into Interior Decorating and is looking into programs at a technical institute. Susan has added a dog #3 to our family (Lucky) who she adopted from the Humane Society. Very smart dog, but still a puppy so has to be watched quite a bit - I would be able to handle him better if he didn't bark so much. When she moves out, he moves with her.

Now, my animals......as I mentioned above I have 3 dogs. Wilson is a Scottish Terrior and is 6 years old. He is a very very good, well behaved dog, barks minimal. Second I have Tiny who is a "Daisy" dog. The breeder of these Daisy dogs is located in Grand Rapids and has a patent on the dogs that have very low allergies. My dog has some Bichon, some Yorkie, and who knows what else, but she is just under 5 pounds and she is a lap dog. Very cute! Luck is dog #3 who's photo is on this blog. I will add pictures of the other animals later on.

My husband is a very busy man. He is a supervisor at Ford Motor Company as well as the President of the Novi Youth Hockey Association. He also is the team Manager for our hockey team. Right now we are (they are) working on a golf outing fund raiser for our team. We will be going to our first away tournament in Holland in September. The only time we really get a rest is when we go up north to Mackinac Island once a year! What a treat to go and see beautiful scenery and do NOTHING at all - maybe a leisurely ride around the island, but that's about it.

I think this is a good start for my first blog. I'd like to think I'll be in about once a week to add new things . . . but don't anyone hold me to it!!!
